Meeting Safely
Our goal at Clicked is to help people build meaningful friendships — and make meaningful connections easier. Because meeting someone for the first time (online or in person) can be exciting but also carries risk, your safety matters. You’re in control of your Clicked experience, and the following guidelines are designed to help you stay safe. But trust yourself: if something feels off, listen to your gut.
📝 Online Behavior — Before You Meet
-
Keep personal info private. Don’t share sensitive information (home/work address, exact workplace, full legal name, financial or identity info) until you know the person well. (If you wouldn’t give that info to a random neighbor, don’t give it here.)
-
Be cautious with photos & location clues. Avoid sharing photos that reveal your exact home, workplace, or routine hangouts — this might help someone deduce your regular routes or living location.
-
Don’t send money or financial information. If someone you barely know asks you for money — even under an “emergency” or “friend help” pretext — treat it as a red flag.
-
Vet newcomers. Consider doing a quick social-media or online check (if possible) to verify they are who they claim to be. Many such verifications are suggested by platforms offering friend-finding tools.
-
Use in-app communication where possible. Avoid transferring the conversation to personal email, phone, or outside chat before you feel comfortable. This helps keep your contact information private until trust is established.
-
Block or report suspicious behavior. If someone seems fake, asks for money, pushes for personal info, or acts inappropriately — block them and report them. That helps keep the whole community safer.
🤝 Planning In-Person Meetups
-
Start with a virtual hangout. Before meeting in person, consider a video call or voice call to confirm they are who they say they are and to make sure you “click.”
-
Meet somewhere public and neutral. For first meeting: choose a public place with people around (coffee shop, park, library, etc.), not a private home or remote location.
-
Tell someone you trust. Let a friend or family member know who you’re meeting, where, and when — and maybe check in afterward so they know you’re safe.
-
Control your own transportation. Arrange your own way to get there and back — that way, you stay in charge and can leave anytime.
-
Respect boundaries — yours and theirs. Just because you’ve agreed to meet doesn’t mean you owe anything. If you feel uncomfortable, it’s okay to leave. Prioritize safety over politeness.
🚨 If Things Go Wrong — And How to Handle It
-
If someone asks for money, pushes for personal info, or tries to move you away from public conversation — treat that as suspicious and end contact.
-
If you ever feel threatened, unsafe, or pressured — trust your instincts. You always have the right to walk away.
-
If something serious happens (harassment, assault, threats, or anything that puts you or someone else in danger) — call emergency services (e.g. 911 in the U.S.), and consider reaching out to trusted loved ones or support resources for help.
✅ Use Your Judgment
These guidelines are meant to help you stay safer — but you know yourself best. If anything feels off, don’t ignore it. You are allowed to set the pace, control how and when you connect with others, and change your mind at any time.
We’re glad you’re using Clicked — and we hope these guidelines help you build genuine, meaningful friendships in a way that feels safe and comfortable.

Community Guidelines
Welcome to Clicked — a place to make friends, build community, and have fun! To keep this a safe and positive space for everyone, please follow these guidelines:
Keep It Friendly & Platonic
Clicked is designed for meeting new friends. Content or behavior intended for dating, hooking up, or anything sexual is not allowed.
Profile Content
No Nudity or Sexual Content
Keep photos and bios appropriate for a public, friendship-focused space.
No nudity, no sexually explicit content, no suggestive poses, and no sexual props or gestures. Clothing is great — let your personality do the talking.
No Violent or Graphic Content
We do not allow violent, graphic, or hateful content.
This includes images or language that show harm, intimidation, or discrimination. Even if something is a hobby (like hunting), avoid showing images that may be disturbing to others.
Children’s Safety First
Photos of children are only allowed if you are their parent or guardian and they are included naturally in your life.
Do not upload photos of children alone or use childhood photos of yourself that look like a current minor.
Use Only Your Own Content
Copyrighted material, celebrity images, brand logos, and AI-generated photos that misrepresent what you look like aren’t allowed. Your profile should be authentically you.
Protect Personal Information
For your safety, do not put phone numbers, home addresses, financial details, or other private info in your profile. You can share details privately with someone you trust later on.
Messaging & Interaction
Be Respectful
Communicate like you would with a friend you care about. Rude, offensive, threatening, or disrespectful messages are not okay and can lead to removal.
Zero Tolerance for Hate
Any content or behavior that attacks or discriminates against another person or group based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, nationality, or any protected characteristic is not allowed — ever.
No Harassment
This includes:
-
Bullying or intimidation
-
Stalking or persistent unwanted contact
-
Sharing or threatening to share someone’s private information
-
Posting screenshots of profiles, messages, or photos outside the app
We take all reports seriously and may remove users who make others feel unsafe.
No Scams or Predatory Behavior
Do not ask for or send money, banking info, or personal identifiers.
Any attempt to deceive, exploit, or defraud someone else results in an immediate ban.
No Spam or Sales
Clicked is for forming real friendships — not for selling products, recruiting followers, or promoting businesses or external links.
Please keep interactions genuine and personal.
